Punakha Festival Tour

Continue to Rinpung Dzong, an impressive fortress-monastery overlooking the river, and take a short walk across the traditional wooden cantilever bridge. The day is kept light to help you acclimatize while soaking in your first impressions of Bhutan.

Today you hike to Bhutan’s most iconic site, Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), dramatically perched on a cliff 900 meters above the valley. The trail winds through pine forests, prayer flags, and scenic viewpoints, making the journey as rewarding as the destination.

After the hike, visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong and continue to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples.

Drive across the scenic Dochula Pass, where on clear days you can enjoy panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayas and the 108 chortens.

Later, drive back to Paro and enjoy your final evening strolling through the charming town or relaxing at your hotel.
